The need for electronic management and support of business and institutional human processes is increasing. The reason is that processes are regulated and properly developed on the one hand, and the increasing need for optimization through process measurement, especially that of customer service applications, on the other. Products are available to support human processes electronically in the following areas:

- process planning, modelling and documenting (ARIS, WiFlow etc.)

- process implementation (e. g. MONTANA MonFlow, K2, Oracle BPEL)

- (partial) solutions built in administration and business management systems.

Cluster members can offer the following solutions in these areas:

- MONTANA MonFLow is the intelligent IMPLEMENTING system of the electronic workflow configurable on graphical interface by users,

- FORRÁS administration system and several industry business management solutions by GriffSoft Zrt.,

- TITÁN based systems by RITEK Zrt.

These products have considerable shares in the domestic market, moreover, they have the greatest share among home developed products, and few Hungarian companies have experience in implementing large/complex workflow systems.

Our goals:

- to connect our members’ electronic workflow managing and administration systems, and thus to increase our market share further,

- to connect process planning, modelling and documenting systems with process implementing systems, and thus to increase our market share further.

Recently the need for developing and implementing end-to-end business management solutions has increased considerably. The traditional administration modules (general ledger, finance & accounting, inventory, assets, payment & HR etc) cannot provide satisfactory solutions any more. The end-to-end feature is not always a must since the IT support of a given activity is not always sensible but the basic activities of a company or institution are not either. Companies prefer buying ready-made solutions customizable by specifying parameters, as typical in case of administration systems, to risking own developments and accepting financial burden. So we have decided to develop industry IT solutions covering the basic activities of a given industry.

Now cluster members (together with partners outside the cluster) offer products in the following areas:

- Production management of a transport, shipment company (with passenger transport in focus);

- Agricultural activities planning, production management, poultry manufacturing;

- Solutions supporting the daily operational activities of printing companies;

- System supporting the back-end and front-end activities of a leasing company.

Cluster members’ market share varies by industries. Our share in transport industry is significant, and we have reached very serious results with our agricultural system though it is ready only for one year.  

In such developments industry knowledge (which is usually diverse) is highly important beside the IT knowledge. Therefore such solutions are developed in several partner cooperations. A major part of the work is to integrate the existing solutions and to develop the missing parts. This is rather an innovative activity, and rarely entails R&D. Of course, IT solutions should keep up with industry developments.

These solutions have better chance to be exported than country specific administration solutions. There are no essential differences among companies within a given industry due to globalization of the industry.
